AIST Section of Nola-Parthenope, in close connection with the institutions and cultural centers of the Vesuvius area (Municipality and Court of Nola, Centro Studi San Paolino, Basilica Complex of Cimitile, etc.) and in particular with the University of Naples ‘Parthenope’ (whose structures it uses), promotes and pursues multidisciplinary methodologies of scientific investigation. The adhering members, as well represented by the public initiatives carried out so far, prefer a research on the Mediterranean world of Late Antiquity, and on its immediate transformations both Eastern and Western, conducted in dialogue between historical, legal, philosophical, theological, artistic knowledge: this leads to study meetings and, subsequently, to scientific publications.
